An apprenticeship with Wilmar is more than just a job - it’s the start of a diverse and rewarding career. You’ll experience hands-on training, a variety of tasks, and challenging work in a busy industrial environment.

The Wilmar Apprenticeship Program runs for four years and combines both practical (on-the-job) and theoretical (in-the-classroom) education. You’ll study the theoretical side of your apprenticeship at a registered training organisation, such as a TAFE, and complete the practical side in our sugar mills or bioethanol distillery.

To support you through your apprenticeship, we provide uniforms, personal protective equipment (eg helmets, glasses, gloves, boots) and a full professional tool kit. We also pay for your TAFE training.

We offer a range of trades through our apprenticeship program. These vary from year to year and location to location, depending on the needs of the business. They include:

  • Electrical
  • Fabricating
  • Fitting and turning
  • Diesel fitting
