Steam trials

In readiness for the start of the 2024 crushing season, pre-season factory steam trials are scheduled to be carried out.

Short bursts of steam noise will be produced during these trials.

We are legally required to perform safety trials on our factory steam plant prior to commencing regular crushing operations. Steam trials also enable us to commission the new items of plant installed during the 2024 maintenance season.

Efforts will be made to minimise noise during this time.

Steam trials will take place on these dates:

Inkerman Mill: Thursday 16 May

Invicta Mill: Thursday 16 May

Proserpine Mill: Monday 20 May
