Careers
We employ more than 2,000 people in Australia and New Zealand.

Our business employs more than 2,000 people in Australia and New Zealand. This number grows to about 2,500 during the cane crushing season, from June to November.

We offer a wide range of career opportunities across our businesses. These include corporate roles in safety, human resources, legal, corporate relations, sales, marketing, finance and IT. We also employ industry and technical specialists in engineering, logistics, operations, agronomy, farm management and quality assurance, as well as a range of trades.

We have corporate offices in Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Yarraville and Auckland. We operate eight sugar mills and large-scale sugarcane farms in Queensland, sugar refineries in Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand, and a bioethanol distillery in Queensland. We also operate a number of packing and distribution facilities in Australia and New Zealand centres.

A large proportion of our workforce is in regional Queensland, between Ingham in the north and Sarina in the south. Our people have strong links to the communities in which they live and work, and many have connections with the sugar industry going back generations. We foster rewarding careers in regional towns and are a major provider of apprenticeship training in Queensland. Our commitment to regional employment was recognised in 2015 and 2016 when we were named Large Employer of the Year at the North Queensland finals of the Queensland Training Awards.

We strive to minimise our environmental impact and are committed to providing a safe workplace for our people. To learn more about a career with Wilmar, click here or visit us on LinkedIn.
