We value and give back to the communities in which we do business.

Our Community Support Program provides funds to local community groups aligned with our philanthropic mission to bring meaningful benefits to health and safety, the environment, youth education and training, the arts and culture.

We encourage our people to be involved in the events and causes we support, from hamper packing and sausage sizzles to tree plantings and fun runs.

Some of the charities, community organisations and events we support include Ronald McDonald House North Australia, the Townsville Hospital Foundation, junior sporting clubs, agricultural shows and community festivals. We also provide work experience for local high school and university students, and support a range of academic awards.

Our people willingly play active roles in their communities through sporting, social and community organisations.

Employees at our operations in larger cities are well connected to their surrounding communities and support a range of events and activities. Our Sugar Australia team at Yarraville, in Victoria, has a long-standing partnership with Foodbank and staff regularly volunteer to pack food hampers.

New Zealand Sugar is a strong supporter of the Auckland City Mission and participates in their annual Christmas drive. The Chelsea team also participates in litter tidy ups and tree planting days to improve the environment around the Chelsea Heritage Park Estate.
