Complementary healthcare
We have been supplying ingredients to the complementary healthcare market since it began in Australia.

From its plants in Asia, Wilmar manufactures a number of fatty alcohols including Wilfarol 1618, commonly known as cetearyl or cetyl stearyl alcohol. It is derived from a vegetable source. The basis is a mix of the carbon chains 16 and 18 with the ratio of 30:70 respectively.

This ingredient is used widely in personal care products such as skin lotions, hair products, mascara and sunscreens. It helps create a smoother cream, thicker lotions and helps stabilise foam products. It is an ingredient that can assist in soothing and healing dry skin, providing a soft feel to a cream.
