From its plants in Asia, Wilmar manufactures myristic acid derived from both palm oil and palm kernel oil. They are produced by splitting the fats at high pressure and temperature. It is used predominantly in beauty products as a fragrance ingredient, opacifying agent, surfactant, cleansing agent and emulsifier.
