Our Australia and New Zealand operations are part of Wilmar International, one of the world’s largest sugar traders, which transacts more than 12 million metric tonnes of raw and refined sugar every year. Being part of a global sugar business gives us access to an extensive global network and wealth of expertise that we leverage to benefit our growers in Australia.
Wilmar International has integrated sugar operations across the value chain, from sugar cane and beet plantations to the supermarket shelf. It operates sugar mills, cogeneration (electricity from biomass) plants, ethanol distilleries and sugar refineries, connected through a market-leading merchandising team headquartered in Singapore. A white sugar marketing desk also operates from Dubai, centralising white sugar distribution from Wilmar International's refineries.
Since starting its sugar business in Australia in 2010, Wilmar International has expanded operations to Indonesia, Morocco, India, Myanmar, Brazil and China. It is now one of the world’s top 10 raw sugar producers.

Pool performance
We’re committed to transparency in reporting. Each quarter we report Wilmar and QSL’s pool price performance and associated marketing fees. The figures you see are the same as those published in other official reporting channels. They also mirror the actual amount paid to growers.
Forward pricing
When we introduced forward pricing in 2008, it was to offer growers greater control over their cane price, including the opportunity to capture potentially attractive prices in the sugar market. But does forward pricing really make a difference? We did some analysis to find out.
