The last of our factories crushed out before the weekend, officially bringing the 2025 season to a close for the Wilmar Sugar and Renewables group.
The last cane was processed at Plane Creek Mill at 5am on Friday, 28 November.
Our eight factories processed a total of 14.23 million tonnes of cane for the season to make about 1.94 million tonnes of raw sugar.
Here is a region-by-region snapshot of the season.
It’s great to have all of our factories out by the end of November, after the late season finishes we’ve seen in recent years.
We had a smoother run this season, supported by improved factory availability and better weather. While the dry conditions saw the crop drop off, average season CCS was higher than last year.
Our focus now is on washing down the factories and delivering our maintenance season works program ahead of the 2026 season.
I’d like to acknowledge the many people across the Wilmar business who have worked so hard to get this year’s crop processed.
Thanks also to our cane suppliers and the harvesting sector for your hard work and cooperation throughout the year.
