All of our factories are back in production following the significant rain event earlier this month.

Wilmar’s four Burdekin mills experienced the biggest impact, coming back online on Monday following a two-week wet weather stop.

Our eight factories have now processed 2.53M tonnes of cane, which represents 16 per cent of the estimated 15.9M tonne crop.

Early trends indicate the crop is cutting below estimate, however it is still too early to revise individual farm estimates. CCS levels for 2023 season cane are encouraging for this stage of the season.

HERBERT

• Recent rain events have impacted harvesting operations and made it difficult to achieve full weekly cane supply.
• CCS results for 2023 season cane have been encouraging, particularly this early in the season.
• The Herbert crop is currently cutting at just under 100 per cent of estimate.

BURDEKIN

• All four Burdekin mills have had a strong restart to operations following a two-week wet weather stop.
• We have now processed 90 per cent of the standover cane from the 2022 season.
• The 2023 Burdekin crop is cutting below estimate.

PROSERPINE

• Milling operations have been improving week on week, with last week’s throughput about 4,000 tonnes above budget.
• CCS is trending above forecast for the season to date, despite recent wet weather.
• We continue to focus on safe, steady operations and utilising wet weather stops to undertake maintenance work.

PLANE CREEK

• CCS levels are tracking well above budget and harvesting conditions continue to improve following recent rainfall.
• We are continuing to work through issues affecting the rate at Plane Creek Mill.
• A number of important repairs have been completed over the past week and we expect to see an improvement in rate as a result.
