The Wilmar group of mills has passed the first quarter mark for the 2021 crush.

Our factories have collectively processed 4.1 million tonnes of sugarcane – or 27 per cent of the total estimated crop.

The short-term weather outlook is favourable for harvesting and crushing.

• Ground conditions continue to dry out and the harvesting sector is steadily reaching full capacity.

• The factories have been performing well, with recent capital projects contributing to higher crush rates at both Victoria and Macknade mills.

• We are maximising the crush rate at all Burdekin mills to increase regional throughput.
• Cool fine weather has contributed to above-budget CCS, and sugar levels continue to rise steadily.
• The Burdekin crop continues to cut to estimate.

• Average CCS is 0.7 of a unit above budget and the crop is cutting close to estimate.
• The factory is performing well, with above-budget throughputs for the last two weeks.
• Weather conditions are optimal for harvesting.

• Bin weights have increased over the past fortnight, with average bin weights exceeding four tonnes for the first time since 2019.
• Average CCS levels are slightly below budget, but increasing steadily.
• Factory throughput, year-to-date, is slightly below budget and the short-term weather outlook is positive.
