Our eight factories have processed nine million tonnes of cane, which represents 58 per cent of the total forecast crop.

 The declaration of an El Nino weather pattern means a reduced chance of a wet finish to the 2023 season.

However, the predicted drier, hotter conditions may cause cane yields to drop off, and have an adverse impact on next year’s crop.

• CCS has been climbing steadily.
• Some light showers have occurred recently, but weather conditions have remained favourable overall.

PLANE CREEK

• CCS levels are remaining steady.
• The factory resumed operations today, after an extended stop to repair No.5 mill.
• Our maintenance and production teams continue to focus on improving factory reliability and rate.
