Wilmar's new welding robot
The Fanuc ARC Mate 120iD/12L is a welcome addition to the workshop team, and is being programmed to complete high-volume, repetitive tasks to high levels of accuracy.
As it's effectively a mechanical arm, the robot relies on the skill of its operator for successful outputs. Once programmed to complete a particular task, it's able to remember and repeat on command.
It’s currently being put through its paces, welding together more than 400 horn cheeks - important components of the 100 cane bins being manufactured for our Invicta Mill.
