At Wilmar, safety isn’t negotiable; it's how we do business. That’s why we’re proud to launch our 10 Life Saving Rules.
The Life Saving Rules are a set of non-negotiable safety expectations that apply to every person working for, or on behalf of, Wilmar.
They're designed to prevent harm, encourage proactive safety behaviours, and give every worker the confidence to stop unsafe work. Whether you’re on the tools or supporting behind the scenes, the Life Saving Rules guide us to ensure every shift ends with everyone going home safely.
Group Manager Health & Safety Mel Need said the Life Saving Rules addressed the highest-risk activities in our operations, from confined space entry and electrical work, to hazardous materials and traffic safety.
“Each rule spells out what must be done before, during, and after a job to keep it safe, supported by our risk management systems,” she said.
"If a task cannot be done safely, or would breach a Life Saving Rule, you must stop the job and speak up. No exceptions.
“The Life Saving Rules set the standard for how we work safely and make sure everyone gets to go home the same way they arrived, safe and well.”
