We're making good progress with the 2026 season, with some of our factories already past the halfway mark.
Our eight mills have now processed a total of 6.84M tonnes of sugarcane. That represents almost 50 per cent of the estimated 13.85M tonne crop.
HERBERT

- The Herbert crop is currently cutting close to the revised estimate.
- CCS remains high, with this week’s average more than a unit above budget.
- The drier conditions have enabled harvesting groups to migrate to the western line. While this is likely to lift average yield, it is causing some logistics challenges.
BURDEKIN

- The factories have been performing well overall, putting the Burdekin ahead of budget for the season to date.
- While the crop was recently revised downwards, the season-to-date CCS is tracking 0.70 of a unit above budget, providing a positive offset to the reduced tonnes.
- The industry has benefited from ideal harvesting conditions over the past 12 weeks, with predominantly dry weather supporting strong harvesting and transport performance.sport performance.
PROSERPINE

- Dry conditions persist in several parts of the Proserpine region and the crop is starting to show the effects.
- On a positive note, the drier weather has enabled harvesting to finally commence in the Conway and Strathdickie areas. Up until now, these areas had been too wet for harvest.
- We expect to reach the halfway mark for the season in the middle of next week.
PLANE CREEK

- Very dry conditions are prevailing across the Sarina district.
- The crop is cutting close to the revised estimate. CCS continues to track well above budget, with this week's average 1.5 units above forecast.
